“My mother stayed there for several nights. She said the food was barely edible. Staff was elusive if she ever had questions about her medication or care. Weekend overnight staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. Her room smelled like urine when she checked in and there was an ammonia smell in the hallway. Only when we talked to the case manager was the smell addressed. My mother was dismissed when she asked about her medication regimen that she’s been on for years. I never saw a doctor or a nurse when I visited her and she said the same. No medical personnel checked on her during the day. Only staff brought her medication or food if she wasn’t in the dining room. The only bright spot, she said, was physical therapy.”

“My grandmother has been staying here. Within the first few days, she fell and the nurse questioned her several times as if she was lying. My grandmother felt helpless most of the time there and only enjoyed her time there when she had time with other residents there. She was encouraged to use a diaper, even though she was completely able to use the bathroom with assistance. There were many unfortunate events, the worst being that she fell again and is now back in the emergency room with a broken hip. They did not notify any family about this incident until 7 hours later.”
