“None of us expect to experience a truly magical moment attending a Christmas party at a nursing home. But wonderful things can sometimes happen in the most unexpected of ways. My husband is a temporary resident at the Lake Forest Village skilled nursing facility in Denton. Sharing with him the communal joy of the room filled with laughing, clapping even a few nostalgically tearful party goers in wheelchairs was beautiful. The entertainer, Shanna Divine, worked the crowd with love, whatever the ailments on display. I thank the facility’s art director, Victoria Soto for creating such a moving program. Let me also express appreciation to Wanda Richard and to the other staff members for making this event and the facility as a whole truly feel like a warm and loving home.”

“Thank you to the Skilled Nursing Team at Denton Village, My mother had to have therapy before coming home, she was there from 12-3 to 12-20. The nurses and assistant nurses on her hallway were very accommodating in giving her the medications and assisting her when she needed it. During breakfast, lunch and dinner, if you’re not getting your food delivered to your room, all staff in attendance, assist in moving the abled patients to the cafeteria, side note, “the food was prepped and cooked very well”. While walking through the hallways, you’re always greeted with a good morning, afternoon and evening along with a smile. Also, the administration were easily accessible to talk with and helped you with any questions or concerns I may have had. Props to the activities team in keeping everyone occupied and involved in events they had organized. Thank you to everyone that helped in getting my mom stronger to get back home. The reason I’m able to describe this facility so well is, I stayed with my mom day and night while sleeping in her room in a chair. Thank you very much, Gino Montague and mom, Estrella.”
