“My mother was initially admitted here in September 2025 and was there until she died in November. The entire experience here was not good at all compared to other skilled nursing facilities that she had been to for rehabilitation. Long story short, she took a turn for the worse on November 3rd, 2025. Was admitted to Three Oaks hospice on November 6th, 2025. I was told that she would need to pay room and board for a minimum of two weeks while doing hospice. My mother died 5 days after starting hospice. They charged her account $2400 three days after she died. I was told that I would receive a refund. I have yet to receive the refund and have been given the run around every time I call. I was also never given a receipt or any documentation for the $2400 charge. It is now December 15, 2025, and I have not had any follow-up as to when the refund will be issued. To charge someone for room and board AFTER they have died is wrong, especially when you have been billing THOUSANDS to Medicare.”
