Starcare Specialty Health System

Starcare Specialty Health System is the state-designated local authority for mental health, intellectual disabilities, and substance use services for Lubbock and several surrounding West Texas counties, with roots in the community dating back to the mid-1960s. They provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management, intellectual and developmental disability supports such as day habilitation and job development, and substance use services including medication for opioid use disorder and outpatient counseling.
