My provider herself, Mercedes was excellent. The company High Plains told my provider that my services were suspended till after the 31st. When in fact my services on my current contract end the 31st and a new one starts on the 1st I keep trying to call them and nobody calls back. And I only had one more day of service besides today, which I didn’t get. The company told me that they were no longer taking state patients as of the first. I would recommend Mercedes to anyone. She has compassion and help me a great deal in my home after having back surgeries.

Next steps to sign up for the Home Health Care

  • To begin home health services like skilled nursing, physical therapy, hospice, or wound care at home, you’ll need a doctor’s referral if you want Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance to cover it. Once you have a referral, you can compare agencies based on quality ratings, nurse availability, and specialties. Our site makes it easy to find local agencies, message them directly, and get prequalified based on your specific health needs and insurance coverage. After that, expect a home health nurse to schedule an initial evaluation visit.
