“I’ve worked in healthcare for over 20 years and have been in almost every senior living facility across Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area. Sadly, this facility stands out for all the wrong reasons. I was hired privately by a family to help care for their loved one because of the care concerns they had here. After spending more than four years by her side until she passed, I saw many things that deeply concerned me. Residents were often neglected, meals arrived very late and were poor in quality, and medications were sometimes left unattended, many safety issues that were ignored, Staff were under constant pressure and often afraid to speak up when things weren’t right. I also witnessed issues with honesty and accountability among management especially with a few head nurses that made it hard for residents to feel safe to express their concerns and families to trust what they were being told. I’ve dedicated my career to caring for others with compassion and respect, and it was heartbreaking to see residents not receiving the level of care they deserve. Families placing their loved ones here should stay very involved and observant. Seniors deserve dignity, consistency, and genuine care — every single day. ”
