Next steps to sign up for the Assisted Living

  • To move into assisted living, which offers personal care support along with meals, housekeeping, and activities, start by contacting facilities to check services, availability, and pricing. A doctor’s evaluation can help if there are concerns about mobility, memory, or complex care needs, but a referral isn’t usually required. Assisted living is primarily private pay or covered by long-term care insurance, so it’s important to compare based on staffing levels, services offered, and resident reviews. After sending messages and getting prequalified through our site, the next step is to schedule a facility tour.

Next steps to sign up for the Independent Living

  • If you’re looking for independent living for seniors who are still active but want amenities like meals, housekeeping, or social activities, you can contact communities directly without a doctor’s involvement. Independent living is almost always private pay, so compare costs, amenities, location, and lifestyle fit carefully. Our site lets you browse options, message communities, and schedule tours easily to find the best match. The next step after prequalification is to arrange a community tour and discuss lease terms.

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay garnered a wealth of positive feedback from clients and their families we interviewed. The residents appreciated that there are certified nurses on site who are kind and compassionate. The facility has various activities including ceramics and fine arts. Its retirement community includes an on-campus library, meditation garden, koi pond, and activities and dining options on a beachfront area. The community is described as a nice and classy place, albeit quite expensive. The staff was commended for being nice and the place is noted to be very clean and well-maintained.
