Table of contents
Introduction
The situation of caregiving in America is pressing. With senior care posing both affordability and logistical challenges for countless families, the need for an in-depth understanding of this issue is paramount. It's through understanding that we can begin to find viable solutions.
At Olera, we shoulder this responsibility with determination and dedication, driven by the knowledge that the needs of those grappling with this crisis need to be addressed. This is why we eagerly embarked on the CARES study (Caregiver Assistance, Resources, and Education for Seniors), joining forces with the Texas A&M Center for Population Health and Aging.
Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Phase 2 of this ground-breaking study.
Our Mission: CARES Study
Our mission with the CARES study is threefold:
- First, we aim to understand the primary needs of family caregivers in diverse populations.
- Secondly, we intend to construct an accessible, comprehensive system designed to guide these family caregivers through their journey of senior care.
- Finally, we will evaluate this proposed system using evidence-based measures to ensure its effectiveness and practicality.
As we leap into this new phase, we take to heart the importance of our task. Successfully navigating through the intricacies of senior caregiving requires a multifaceted solution – one that is sensitive to the diverse needs of different populations, and one that is accessible to all.
Looking Forward
Phase 2 of the CARES study marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission – to make caregiving in America more manageable, affordable, and compassionate. We invite you to join us in this mission as we seek to shed light on the demanding landscape of caregiving and to contribute towards bettering the lives of both caregivers and those in their care.
Onward, we move, filled with anticipation and resolve to continue the essential work of impacting the caregiver landscape positively and significantly.
Stay tuned for more updates on Phase 2 of the CARES study and our ongoing quest to improve caregiving in America.
