It took less than 6 months to drop the rating from 5 stars to 2 stars! There are many positive things but an equal amount of negative things to render a judgement. Positive Things: 1. Very Good Food Served 2. Many staff members with big hearts. 3. A safe area to live Negative Things: 1. Some staff members do not care about the well-being of your family member. 2. If you're in pain and you need more medicine, think cannot help you. 3. The beds, blankets, and pillows are substandard. They provide no support! They are basically high school waterproof gym mats with coarse sheets. 4. The owners of this facility have the face and clothes of people who care. But be not fooled! They have rules that are strict, they will not greet you with a cordial manner, but remain cold to those that they find disfavour with. You learn their rules and keep yourself invisible and you won't find out that they will threaten to keep you out of contact with your family member by calling the police and filing a restraining order. 5. Around 7 pm at night, they will not answer the phones even if it's an emergency. In fact if your family member doesn't have a phone in the room, you simply must come over. No exceptions! So now you understand that this place isn't as bad as others, but the issues I have described are real and if you knew what I know. You'll know that your family member may be truly unhappy but simply can't speak out. Their happiness can only be achieved through you acting as an instrument in the hands of God!

Well...... i feel no nursing home is great. Overworked and under paid. I think they have changed ownership 4 times in 2 years, staff changes a lot. My mom was over medicated for 8 months , seemed to be drugged up and developed Cushing's from the steroid use until we finally were able to get to speak to a dr and get her off medication which took an act of congress. She fell out of her wheelchair a few times and we found the chair was broke and they didn't have any more so my dad had to try to fix it twice and we ended up just buying her a new chair to keep her from falling out. I have been told by a few that the food is not good and you don't have a choice on what you get. The place has never smelled bad and i have not seen any abusive myself but they can be short with people, grumpy and hard to understand. They do have activities and my mom likes to go and have her nails painted and she loves therapy.

Next steps to sign up for the Nursing Home

  • Starting care at a nursing home often requires a doctor’s referral, especially if services like rehabilitation or 24/7 medical care will be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance. Nursing homes vary widely in quality, so it’s critical to compare staffing levels, inspection results, therapy programs, and resident satisfaction. Our site helps you review detailed profiles, message facilities, and begin prequalification based on medical and financial eligibility. Once matched, the next step is usually a facility tour and care plan discussion.
