When Did You Know It Was Time for Memory Care?

Hi everyone, My loved one has dementia, and caring at home is getting harder. I’m unsure when it’s time to consider assisted living or memory care. What signs made you realise it was time? How did you cope with the guilt? Any key questions I should ask when touring places? I want to make the right decision. Any advice is appreciated.

It was time for us when safety became an issue and I was completely burned out. That matters too. The guilt is normal, but memory care can mean safer, 24/7 support. When touring, ask about dementia training, staffing ratios, and how they handle behaviors. And trust your instincts. 💛
