(technologically challenged here)My husband has MCI and occasionally still drives short distances by himself. He has gotten himself turned around, but did eventually make it back home. He never stops to call as he is too proud to admit he has a problem.

I’ve tried to enroll in a “non-affected” clinical trial, but have had no response. Has anyone successfully done this?

Also the attitude is getting so bad the fussing and she cannot pronounce words anymore is there something to help her?

Medicare only covers doctor's visits and some medications right now. Family lives far away and there doesn't appear to be support outside of support groups and some tiny bit of respite occasionally. Grateful but concerned. Any ideas? Some of the resources feel like putting a Band-Aid on an amputated leg!

My father has been lashing out lately - yelling, even trying to hit me sometimes when I try to help him bathe. It breaks my heart and I don't know how to handle it. The doc says it's part of the disease but that doesn't make it any easier. I'm at my wit's end here, any advice would be welcome.

She misplaced her keys twice this week and forgot my birthday for the first time ever. I'm probably overreacting, but Alzheimer's runs in our family and I'm freaking out a bit. What are some early warning signs I should watch for? And how do I bring this up without scaring her?
