Does anyone have a good system or care plan I can follow to stay on top of everything with my dad?

Just moved Dad in with us after his last hospital stay. He's got diabetes and early dementia. I'm totally overwhelmed trying to keep track of all his meds, appointments, and care needs. I tried making a spreadsheet but it's already a mess. Thought I would ask the community here.

Most important thing is giving yourself grace while you figure this out. It took me months to get a routine down and I still mess up sometimes. You'll find what works for you

Yup this gets messy. after totally messing up my mom's meds twice I finally got a system that works. got one of those huge monthly pill organizers and fill it every sunday night. put a white board in the kitchen with all appointments and daily stuff (check blood sugar, change depends, etc)

My tip after 4 years of this - keep it SIMPLE. I tried all these fancy apps but ended up just using my phone calendar and reminders. Color code everything (blue=meds, red=dr appts, etc). Set alarms for important stuff. And write everything down as it happens - trying to remember later doesn't work, trust me! Also - keep a running list of questions for each doctor. Those appointments go by so fast and I always used to forget what I wanted to ask
