Rehab

Has anyone's loved one gone to rehab and did they do ok? Is it safe? Or do they go there to die and give up?

Absolutely not. Of course sometimes elder people feel sadness and emptiness but this is more related to their lifestyle and what's going on inside family. How relatives treat them, do children care about what's going on in their lives, do surrounding people (friends/neighbours) care etc. From my experience then our loved ones can go to rehab and just find some new friends and activities there. Important is to not forget about them there, visit sometimes and give a regular calls at least several times per month. The most important thing to elder people is knowledge that their family care, simple as that.

Beneficial to research website and physically visit multiple rehab places to see what the facility offers, how often therapy is, asks questions to have a better feel to assist in choosing the right facility for best outcome. Insurance may also play an important part in choosing place as well....
