Oklahoma MIPT (Medicaid Income Pension Trust) - Dissolving timeline

My mother passed 2 years ago, I'm in Oklahoma and I've contacted the Oklahoma HealthCare Authority multiple times trying to dissolve the MIPT. How long do they have to request the funds of the MIPT - is there a Statute of Limitations they have to request reimbursement from the Trust? There was no estate, etc. I'd like to get this final matter resolved and closed.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Dealing with these matters is difficult. In Oklahoma, any money left in a Miller Trust (MIPT) after a person passes away must be used to repay the Oklahoma HealthCare Authority (OHCA) for SoonerCare benefits. While normal estates have clear deadlines for creditors, these trusts are special. The law already directs the remaining funds to OHCA, so a standard statute of limitations may not apply in the same way. Since it has been two years, consider sending a certified letter to OHCA requesting a final claim to create a paper trail.
